DIRECTORS INVITE: THE BANGKOK SESSIONS The traditional closing event of the annual Amersfoort World jazz Festival is the Directors Invite. Tenor saxophonist Alexander Beets (Festival Director of AWJ) invites playing friends from the international scene on stage, including artists who were active at the festival. This year's show is all about the Bangkok Sessions, a project by Alexander Beets with Saskia Laroo (trumpet), Warren Byrd (Voc/Keyboards) and Koh Mr.Saxman (alto sax).

"Expression of these shades is how humanity soars into fresh visions of joy, peace and wholeness, as well as sweat, tears, and suffering--all in the the process of existence. Let us ring out and share with music, sounds, tales, movements and dances, vistas and visuals, and a conglomerates of these that we may attune with our collective core."
