Join internationally acclaimed musicians Saskia Laroo and Warren Byrd for an intimate evening of original music, jazz standards and inspired improvisation at Underwater Kite, Windsor's contemporary art gallery and creative performance space.
Known for her virtuosic trumpet playing and innovative blend of jazz, funk, hip hop and world music, Saskia Laroo has performed in more than 50 countries and at festivals including Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival and Java Jazz Festival.
Pianist, vocalist and composer Warren Byrd, a Hartford native now based in Amsterdam, is celebrated for his soulful performances that seamlessly blend jazz, gospel, blues and contemporary influences.
Presented as part of the Thursday Evening Jazz Series, the concert takes place during the gallery's exhibition, creating a unique atmosphere where live music and visual art come together. After the performance, visitors are invited to continue enjoying the exhibition and live painting demonstrations.
